Sacrament of Confirmation

Confirmation is a special sacrament that seals us with the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Whereas the Spirit is poured into us at Baptism, at Confirmation the Spirit strengthens us to go into the world as faithful disciples of Jesus Christ and bear witness to the Gospel by a deliberately holy way of life.

In the Archdiocese of Boston, Confirmation normally take place at fourteen years old, after completing preparation in the Faith Formation program and having developed the routine of regular attendance at Sunday Mass.
