Baptism
Sacrament of Baptism
Baptism is the gateway to the sacraments. In the waters of Baptism a person is welcomed into God’s family—the Church—through the bond of a covenant. In Baptism, our sins are forgiven and the Holy Spirit is poured into our hearts. This is God’s promise for all those who receive Baptism with faith. On our part, we pledge to live faithfully in the Church, keeping the teachings of God’s Law, and worshipping God at Sunday Mass. In this way, the relationship between us and God is nourished and grows.
At Our Parish
At Good Shepherd Parish, we normally celebrate infant Baptisms on the third Sunday of the month, after an initial conversation with Father Ren. To fill out our Baptism request form, click here. For more information, feel free to call the office at 508.650.3545.
