K-5 Faith Formation

Religious Education Program: Kindergarten-Grade 5

Welcome to the Good Shepherd Religious Education Program for Students in Grades K-5! Good Shepherd is one program at two worship sites. We are excited to build upon our community with your family, as we share our wonderful Catholic beliefs through our Family-Centered Religious Education Program. The structure of our Religious Education Program reflects the goals of providing opportunities for classroom learning, parent education, home study, prayer, and Christian service. Our role as a parish is to support you in nurturing your children in their spiritual formation and understanding of our Catholic faith. It is with that in mind that our religious education is a family-based program.

We have designed our classes around Family Mass times on Religious Education weeks. We also have prepared parent speakers to meet at the same time as the children's classes. This series is designed to equip parents to be able to share their faith with their children, while also continuing to engage and grow in their own faith and understanding as individuals.

This workshop is offered annually. The date, time and location can be found on your Religious Education Family Calendar.

Sacrament Preparation

Preparation for First Reconciliation and First Eucharist is a two-year program with the sacraments being in the second year of Religious Education. The program typically begins in grade 1, but it can be started at a later age. Please contact Debora Spairani at the office with any questions.
